The 8th grade students are preparing to embark on one of the most exciting transitions in a person’s life, high school. This winter each student and family will choose where they will spend the next four years. In support of this important decision, the Greenwood Lake Middle School 8th graders will be visiting Chester Academy and Warwick Valley High School. The students will have the opportunity to interact with students and faculty, see each program first hand, and explore the school’s facilities. In addition to the school visits, each high school will have a parent information night. Finally, our 8th grade students will be invited to events in each district. Last year students attended dances, spirit rallies, and homecoming, as well as a bowling night. This is a great way for students to immerse themselves in each school’s unique culture.  All dates, for all events, are yet to be determined.

It is important that each student find the school that is right for them.  The best way to make a confident decision is to gather as much information as possible.
