FLOOD MITIGATION: The Village is in the process of preparing a flood mitigation plan in order to meet FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) requirements. Over the next several months, the Village’s consultants (Lehman & Getz Engineering, P.C.) will prepare a plan that will identify flood hazards and evaluate measures to reduce losses due to flooding. There will be numerous opportunities for public comments and suggestions in the months ahead, and everyone is invited to participate and share their concerns and ideas. If you would like to make your opinion count, please contact Karen Emmerich (Tel: 845-986-7737) or Pat Olsen (Village Clerk 477-9215) with any concerns you might have, or to help pinpoint flood prone areas? We need to have a draft plan ready by the winter, so if you can please contact Pat or Karen now, it will give them time to investigate your concerns. Thank you.
