Safe Home of Orange County is a private, non-profit agency dedicated to providing confidential assistance to victims of domestic violence and their children. They odder a 24-hour hotline as well as shelter, advocacy, accompaniment, support groups, individual support as well as information and referral. Their main office is in Newburgh. Specialty Patrols
Greenwood Lake's unique location, on the shore of Orange County's largest fresh water lake, shared with New Jersey and the Township of New Milford at the southern half, allow us to use marine patrols. Our police department also take advantage of ATV equipment, allowing officers to travel around Greenwood Lake's mountains, through which the Appalachian Trail passes.
