ANNOUNCEMENTS

MAYOR DWYER STATED WE HAVE A PRESENTATION TONIGHT BY A GOOD FRIEND OF MINE AND A GREAT FRIEND OF GREENWOOD LAKE. HE IS OUR VILLAGE ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENTIST, COLONEL JOHN GRAHAM THE CHIEF SCIENTIST AT WEST POINT. HE AND HIS TEAM HAVE BEEN RUNNING EXPERIMENTS ON GREENWOOD LAKE AND SOME OF THE CHALLENGES THAT WE HAVE.

COLONEL GRAHAM ALONG WITH HIS DAUGHTER HEATHER GAVE A PRESENTATION ON THE WORK THEY HAVE BEEN DOING TAKING WATER SAMPLING TO STUDY THE QUALITY OF THE WATER IN THE LAKE. OVERALL IT WAS IN GOOD CONDITION BUT SOME HIGH AMMONIA AREAS WERE FOUND. THE PROJECT IS STILL ONGOING. AMMONIA IS DISTURBING BUT WE DON’T KNOW WHAT IS CAUSING IT RIGHT NOW. IT COULD VERY WELL BE THE STREAMS THAT FILL IN TO THE NORTH END OF THE LAKE COMING DOWN FROM THE MOUNTAIN. SAMPLING WILL CONTINUE WHEN THE LAKE FILLS BACK IN. WE ARE GOING TO BE CREATING KITS FOR ELEMENTARY AND MIDDLE SCHOOL CHILDREN TO USE FOR SAMPLING NEAR THEIR HOMES.

COPIES OF STUDY ARE ATTACHED.

MAYOR DWYER THANKED EVERYONE INVOLVED IN THIS STUDY, ESPECIALLY COLONEL GRAHAM AND HIS DAUGHTER.   ONE OF THE BOARD’S OBJECTIVES HAS BEEN TO MONITOR THE LAKE AND PROTECT IT AND COME UP WITH SOLUTIONS TO HELP THE LAKE AS IT IS OUR MOST VITAL ASSET HERE IN THE COMMUNITY. WE WERE BUILT AROUND THIS LAKE AND HAVE DEDICATED A LOT OF RESOURCES TO IT. WE HAVE STUDY AFTER STUDY DONE AND THEN NOT MUCH IS DONE AFTER IT. I AM HOPING YOU WILL BE ABLE TO COME UP WITH SOME SOLUTIONS. FOR EXAMPLE, THE AMMONIA PROBLEM, WHAT CAN BE DONE BESIDES DREDGING, OR IS THAT THE ONLY REAL SOLUTION?

COLONEL GRAHAM STATED WE BELIEVE THAT WE ARE GOING TO DISCOVER THE MATERIAL COMING DOWN THE SIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN IS CAUSING THE ORGANIC MATERIAL THAT IS DECOMPOSING IN THE LAKE. WHEN LEAVES RETURN TO THE SOIL THE PRODUCE A TYPE OF GAS THAT IS NOT BAD FOR THE EARTH, BUT WHEN THEY DECOMPOSE IN WATER THEY CREATE METHANE GAS WHICH IS VERY BAD FOR THE WATER. I THINK WE HAVE TO FIND A WAY TO STOP THE BACKFILLING OF THAT END OF THE LAKE. DREDGING IS GREAT BUT THERE NEEDS TO BE A PLAN FOR THE FUTURE TO STOP IT FROM COMING IN.

MAYOR DWYER STATED WE MUST FIND A WAY TO STOP IT FROM COMING IN. WE ARE TRYING TO GET SOME FEDERAL DOLLARS TO DO SOME DREDGING.

ATTORNEY BUCKHEIT STATED ITS CALLED SILT REMEDIATION.

VILLAGE CLERK PAT OLSEN ASKED THE MAYOR IF HE WAS GOING TO BE IN TOUCH WITH THE SCHOOLS TO SET UP THIS PROGRAM FOR THE CHILDREN.

MAYOR DWYER STATED WE HAVE BEEN IN TOUCH WITH THEM.

TRUSTEE HOWLEY – WHEN PEOPLE READ ABOUT THIS THEY MAY BE ASKING CAN OUR CHILDREN SWIM IN THESE AREAS.

MAYOR DWYER STATED THESE ARE AREAS THAT REALLY AREN’T BEING SWAM IN BECAUSE OF THE LEVELS OF SILT. THE WATER ITSELF IS SAFE TO SWIM IN THOUGH.

COLONEL GRAHAM STATED OF ALL THE LAKES I HAVE LOOKED AT IN THE STATE THIS ONE IS LOOKING PRETTY GOOD.

MAYOR DWYER STATED SINCE WE HAVE BEGUN A HERBICIDE PROGRAM, I WANT TO BE ABLE TO MONITOR ANY IMPACT ON THE LAKE FROM THE HERBICIDES AS WELL.

TRUSTEE HOLDER ASKED WAS ALL OF THIS TESTING DONE BEFORE THE DRAWDOWN?

COLONEL GRAHAM RESPONDED YES IT WAS.

TRUSTEE HOLDER ASKED DO YOU T HINK RETESTING AFTER THE LAKE FILLS IN WILL HAVE DIFFERENT RESULTS?

COLONEL GRAHAM – WE MIGHT. THE LAKE WILL BE FLOWING FASTER. THE NEXT STEP IS TO GO UP AND TEST THE STREAMS THAT FEED THE LAKE.

MAYOR DWYER THANKED EVERYONE FOR THE PRESENTATION.

CORRESPONDENCE IS POSTED.

LETTER FROM DEPT OF HEALTH REGARDING LEAD AND COPPER ISSUES – WE ARE NO LONGER UNDER THE SAME RESTRICTIONS BECAUSE WE HAVEN’T EXCEEDED LEAD LEVELS, BUT WE ARE EXCEEDING COPPER LEVELS.

DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS

DPW            REPORTED BY BEN ASTORINO, DEPUTY COMMISSIONER

IN JANUARY AND FEBRUARY, WE DID SOME WORK ON DIVISION STREET. WE REPLACED A CULVERT PIPE REGRADING THE ROAD AND ADDED IN A SWALE. WE TOOK DOWN SOME TREES ON POPLAR STREET THAT WERE DEAD AND HAVE TO RETURN BECAUSE WE BLEW A LINE ON THE BUCKET TRUCK THAT NEED TO BE FIXED. WE PICKED UP BRUSH, PATCHED POT HOLES. WE WERE OUT SNOW PLOWING AND SANDING ON JANUARY 23RD, 24TH, 31ST, 2/7TH, 9TH, 10TH, 12TH AND 13TH. WE ALSO HELPED TO CLEAR THE SNOW FROM WINDERMERE AVENUE. WE REPLACED A FEW MAILBOXES HERE AND THERE. WE HAULED SAND AND SALT FOR OUR STOCKPPILE, HAULED DIRT FROM DREDGING.

MAYOR DWYER – ANY IDEA WHEN THE STATE BID IS COMING OUT FOR PAVING?

BEN ASTORINO – USUALLY NEAR LATE MARCH WE GET AN EMAIL.

FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY, WE HANDLED 1237 COMPLAINTS, MADE 32 ARRESTS, ISSUED 125 TRAFFIC TICKETS, 4 PARKING TICKETS, INVESTIGATED 3 MVA’S, MADE 1 VILLAGE CODE ARREST, AND 1 NAVIGATION COMPLAINT.

WATER            REPORTED BY PHIL LANDRU

BETWEEN THE NEW BIWEEKLY SAMPLING AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS FROM THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT TO MONITOR THE CORROSIVENESS OF OUR WATER AND HAVING TO SATISFY MY EDCATIONAL TRAINING REQUIREMENTS TO MAINTAIN MY CERTIFICATION, IT HAS BEEN A VERY BUSY MONTH. WE ARE MOVING CLOSER TO INSTALLING THE NECESSARY EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS TO ADDRESS THE CORROSION CONTROL ISSUE OF COPPER THAT THE ADDITION OF ORTHOPHOSPHATE HASN’T SEEMED TO RESOLVE. THE GOOD NEWS IS THAT THE PUBLIC HEALTH THREAT OF LEAD HAS BEEN ELIMINATED ALONG WITH AN IMPROVEMENT IN WATER QUALITY SINCE ITS REINTRODUCTION. WE WILL BE ADDING A PH ADJUSTMENT IN THE FORM OF SODA ASH WITH THE OBJECTIVE OF GETTING OUR PH LEVELS UP INTO THE MID 7’S TO MAKE IT LESS CORROSIVE ON THE VILLAGES COPPER INFASTRUCTURE AND RESIDENTIAL PLUMBING. OUR COPPER ACTION LEVELS ARE NOT CONSIDERED A PUBLIC HEALTH THREAT, BUT THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT REQUIRES THAT WE BRING OUR COPPER LEVELS INTO COMPLIANCE.   I’D LIKE TO THANK THE DPW FOR ITS ASSISTANCE IN REPAIRING A LEAKY SERVICE IN FRONT OF THE BOOK SHOP AT 79 WINDERMERE AE. IT WAS ACCESSED AND REPAIRED QUICKLY AND THE SIDEWALK AREA WAS RESTORED AS THOUGH THERE WAS NEVER AN EXCAVATION.

THE MAYOR AND I HAVE BEEN IN DISCUSSIONS ABOUT A FEW PROJECTS THAT WE ARE LOOKING TO GET DONE AS SOON AS TIME PERMITS A WATER MAIN PROJECT ON VAN ORDEN LANE, WATER SERVICE TO THE NEW BOAT LAUNCH, WATER SERVICE TO A GARDEN AREA BY THE TEEN CENTER. I WILL BE DOING WATER METER READING SOON AS WELL.

MAYOR DWYER – WE WOULD LIKE TO GET WATER TO THE BOAT LAUNCH TO WATER THE NEWLY PLANTED GRASS SEED.

VILLAGE CLERK PAT OLSEN – I JUST WANT TO REMIND PHIL WE NEED TO FIX THE WATER ISSUE AT THE DOG PARK IN THE SPRING AS WELL.

FOR THE MONTH OF JANUARY, THE BUILDING DEPARTMENT COLLECTED FEES AMOUNTING TO $3,250.00. THEY ISSUED 7 ORDER TO REMEDIES, 8 BUILDING PERMITS, 3 BUILDING PERMIT RENEWALS, AND 3 SEPTIC PERMITS. THEY ALSO DID 2 FIRE INSPECTIONS, 4 RENTAL INSPECTIONS, SENT OUT 6 EXPIRED BUILDING PERMIT LETTERS AND COMPLETED 9 MUNICIPAL SEARCHES. THERE WERE NO PLANNING BOARD MEETINGS, AND THE ZBA HAD A MEETING SCHEDULED THAT ENDED UP HAVING TO BE RESCHEDULED. THE COMPREHENSIVE PLAN COMMITTEE IS LOOKING TO ADD THE COMMUNITY 2000 PRESENTATION INTO OUR PLAN. WE DID RECEIVE THEIR PROPOSAL AND I WILL BE REVIEWING IT AND GIVING MY COMMENTS IN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.

ATTORNEY BUCKHEIT REPORT – I PROVIDED A DETAILED REPPORT TO THE BOARD. ON FEBRUARY 26TH, WE ARE HAVING GREENWOOD LAKE CELTIC DAY AND I WAS ABLE TO COORDINATE THE WEST POINT PIPES AND DRUMS AND IRISH DANCING. TONIGHT, WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO VOTE ON SOME CODE CHANGES THAT SHOULD HAVE BEEN UPDATED IN 2015 AND 2016. I MET WITH COUNTY LEGISLATIVE CHAIRMAN STEVE BRESHA, JIM PIRO AND JIM SALVO TO DISCUSS GREATER CONTRIBUTIONS TOWARDS THE SUPPORT OF THE LAKE.

VILLAGE CLERK REPORT – PATRICIA OLSEN STATED ANY WATER BILLS THAT WERE STILL OUTSTANDING ARE NO LONGER PAYABLE. THEY HAVE BEEN RELEVIED TO THE JUNE TAX BILL. NEW WATER BILLS WILL BE GOING OUT IN MID MARCH AND WE SHOULD START READING METERS THE END OF THIS WEEK. IF YOU HAVE ANYQUESTIONS OR CONCERNS PLEASE GIVE US A CALL. WE ARE CURRENTLY WORKING WITH THE MAYOR ON NEXT YEARS BUDGET. I DO SEE A LOT OF POTHOLES OUT THERE, JUST GIVE US A CALL IF YOU SEE ONE AND WE WILL TAKE CARE OF IT.

MAYOR DWYER – YOU CAN NOW PAY YOUR WATER BILL ONLINE BY CREDIT CARD FOR A SMALL CONVENIENCE FEE.

OLD BUSINESS

WATER SYSTEM/LEAD COPPER ISSUES – WE ARE STILL WORKING ON THE COPPER ISSUE BUT HAVE RESOLVED THE LEAD ISSUE.

LAKE MANAGEMENT – WE HAD A 5 FOOT DRAWDOWN AND HAVE SINCE COME BACK UP THREE FEET. I THINK AFTER THIS WEEKS RAIN AND SNOW MELT WE SHOULD BE ANOTHER FOOT CLOSER. IT IS LOOKING LIKE THE LAKE WILL BE FULL AGAIN BY MAY. THE LAKE COMMISSION WAS INSTRUMENTAL IN INSURING THAT WE HAD THE ABILITY TO CLOSE THE DAM EARLIER.

NEW MUNICIPAL WELL – WE ARE MOVING FORWARD WITH THIS. I HAVE A LIST OF ACTION ITEMS THAT ARE NECESSARY INCLUDING A SURVEY OF THE PROPERTY. IT WILL BE A THREE PHASE BIDDING PROCESS. ONE COMPANY WILL DRILL THE WELL, ONE WILL TEST THE WELL FOR CONTAMINANTS AND PRESSURE, AND THE THIRD WILL TIE IN THE WATER SYSTEM. ALL THREE WILL BE SEPARATE BIDS. IT IS POSSIBLE FOR ALL THREE BIDS TO BE WON BY ONE COMPANY. ALL RESULTS WILL BE SUBMITTED TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO MAKE SURE DRAWING FROM THIS WELL DOESN’T HARM THE DRAW FROM OUR OTHER WELLS. MY GOAL IS TO HAVE THIS COMPLETED BY MID SUMMER.

WINDERMERE AVE SIDEWALKS – THIS PROJECT IS GOING TO BE RE BID. THE BID PACKAGES WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PICK UP ON MARCH 1ST.  THEY WILL BE DUE NO LATER THAN MARCH 24TH.

RETOBASIN REPLACEMENT – I ASKED THE BOARD FOR SUPPORT IN SENDING A LETTER TO STATE SENATOR JOHN BONACIC FOR A GRANT OF $50,000 TO REPLACE THE RETROFITS. WE WILL WORK WITH THE LAKE COMMISSION AND THE TOWN OF WARWICK ON THIS. HE HAS BEEN SUPPORTIVE OF OUR LAKE.

BUILDING DEPARTMENT – MAYOR DWYER STATED WE HAVE BEEN WORKING ON SOME ISSUES AND I HAVE ACCEPTED THE RESIGNATION OF DODY NICHOLAS. WE HAVE A NEW INSPECTOR IN THE OFFICE NAMED LARRY PHIPPS WHO IS AN EMPLOYEE OF FUSCO ENGINEERING AND IS A BUILDING INSPECTOR WHO PREVIOUSLY WORKED IN THE TOWN OF NEWBURGH. HE IS THERE EVERY TUESDAY AND THURSDAY AND WE WILL BE LOOKING TO HIRE A PART TIME SECRETARY. A VILLAGE THIS SIZE DOESN’T REALLY REQUIRE A FULL-TIME BUILDING INSPECTOR. THAT IS NOT WHY THE BUILDING INSPECTOR RESIGNED. FOR THE LAST YEAR AND A HALF, WE HAVE BEEN COMPILING DATA TO SHOW EFFICIENCY MATTERS AND THIS HAS SHOWN WHAT CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED. RIGHT NOW, WE THINK THIS IS THE BEST WAY TO ADDRESS OUR BULIDLING DEPARTMENT WITH PART TIMERS. THIS WILL BE ADJUSTED IF NECESSARY WHEN BUSINESS PICKS UP. I HAVE TO THANK PAT FOR ALL OF THE WORK SHE HAS DONE TO GET LARRY UP TO SPEED. SHE IS THE EVERYTHING FOR THIS VILLAGE AND I COULDN’T DO THIS JOB WITHOUT HER. WE WILL BE UPDATING OUR CODE THAT WAS POINTED OUT BY THE NEW BUILDING INSPECTOR. I AM PLEASED WITH HOW EVERYTHING IS GOING. PLEASE LET US KNOW IF YOU HAVE ANY ISSUES.

WE WILL KEEP YOU INFORMED ON ALL DETAILS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS YOU CAN EMAIL ME AT MAYOR@VILLAGEOFGREENWOODLAKE.ORG. WE ARE GOING TO NEED COUNTLESS VOLUNTEERS SO PLEASE LET MET KNOW IF YOU WANT TO GET INVOLVED.

NEW BUSINESS

STORM SHELTER GENERATOR – HUD – I GOT A CALL FROM THE DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT, RICH MAYFIELD, A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO, LETTING US KNOW THEY HAVE ADDITIONAL FUNDS IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FOR A GENERATOR SYSTEM FOR THE GREENWOOD LAKE ELKS LODGE WHICH IS OUR STORM SHELTER.

FIREWORKS – MAYOR DWYER STATED FIREWORKS ARE SET FOR SATURDAY JULY 8TH WITH A RAINDATE OF SATURDAY JULY 15TH. THE BOARD WILL BE DISCUSSING ISSUES WITH PARKING. FIREWORKS ARE GROWING AT A TREMENDOUS RATE, PARTLY BECAUSE WE HAVE ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS IN THE AREA.

THEATRE ON THE LAKE – I AM HAPPY TO ANNOUNCE WE WILL BE HAVING THE WIZARD OF OZ FOR FIVE STRAIGHT NIGHTS. THEY ARE A PROFESSIONAL THEATRE GROUP. THIS WILL RUN WEDNESDAY AUGUST 16TH THROUGH SUNDAY AUGUST 20TH AT THE THOMAS MORAHAN WATERFRONT PARK.

COMMUNITY 2000 PROJECT – TRUSTEE SELLIER MENTIONED THIS IN HIS REPORT. THE TOWN OF WARWICK HAS HIRED SOME CONSULTANTS ALONG WITH THE VILLAGE OF WARWICK BECAUSE IT IS THEIR 150TH ANNIVERSARY. THEY HAVE ASKED US TO JOIN IN ON THE LONG-TERM VISION OF ITS THREE VILLAGES. WE WILL BE LOOKING AT IT TO SEE IF IT FITS WITH OUR NEEDS AND WE WILL REPORT BACK TO YOU.

BUDGET – MAYOR DWYER STATED I HOPE EVERY ONE WILL PARTICIPATE. THE BOARD IS PROUD OF THE WORK WE HAVE DONE TAKING A LOT OF INPUT FROM THE PUBLIC AND COMING UP WITH EFFICIENT BUDGETS. THE CLERK WILL PUT THE SCHEDULE OF BUDGET WORKSHOPS ON THE CALENDAR.

VILLAGE CLERK PAT OLSEN STATED THE BUDGET WORKSHOP IS MARCH 14TH AND APRIL 17TH IS THE PUBLIC HEARING.

MAYOR DWYER – MARCH 14TH WORKSHOP WILL BE AT VILLAGE HALL. WE WILL PRESENT IT TO THE VILLAGE BOARD FOR INPUT AND THEN HAVE THE PUBLIC HEARING.

PUBLIC HEARING CROSS CONNECTION – WE WILL BE HAVING A PUBLIC HEARING ON MARCH 20TH. THIS IS A PLAN TO INSURE THAT OUR WATER DOES NOT GETTING CORRUPTED OR COMPRIMISED BY ANY CHEMICAL FEED SYSTEMS OR BACK WASH INVOLVED IN THE TREATMENT PROCESS SO THAT OUR DRINKING WATER IS PROTECTED. WE NEED TO ADOPT THE PLAN AND PRESENT IT TO THE VILLAGE.

EVENTS

APRIL 29TH, WE ARE HAVING A MUSIC FESTIVAL AT THE ELKS TO END HOMELESSNESS. IT WILL BE FREE TO ANYONE, JUST A DONATION. WE HAVE A HOMELESS SITUATION IN GREENWOOD LAKE THAT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION.   I MENTIONED TO SOMEONE FROM HONOR, THAT MET WITH THIS PERSON FOR FIVE DAYS TO TRY AND GET THEM RESOURCES. HONOR WORKS WITH THE HOMELESS. THIS WILL BE ON SATURDAY APRIL29TH FROM 12:00PM TO 9:00PM.   THERE WILL BE FOOD VENDORS THERE AND ALL KINDS OF BANDS PUT TOGETHER BY A PROFESSIONAL PROMOTER.

PRIVILEGE OF THE FLOOR.

RESIDENT NORMAN WESTPHAL- I WANT TO THANK THE GREENWOOD LAKE POLICE DEPARTMENT FOR THEIR FINE SERVICE AND QUICK RESPONSE WHEN THEY CAME TO MY HOUSE WHO KEPT ME STABLE UNTIL THE AMBULANCE CORP ARRIVED. GREAT JOB.

RESIDENT ELIZABETH DICHARRA – I WANT TO THANK THEM TOO.

MAYOR DWYER – THEY ARE INDISPENSABLE TO THIS VILLAGE. WE HAVE A VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT AND A VOLUNTEER AMBULANCE CORP SO IT SOMETIMES TAKES THEM A LITTLE WHILE TO GET THERE. ALL OF OUR POLICE OFFICERS ARE TRAINED IN FIRST AID AND TO START THE PROCESS OF PRESERVING LIFE UNTIL THE OTHER FIRST RESPONDERS GET THERE.   THE AVERAGE TIME IT TAKES A POLICE OFFICER TO RESPOND IN THE VILLAGE IS TWO MINUTES. WE HAD A PRESENTATION BY AN EAGLE SCOUT EARLIER WHO WANTS TO PUT TOGETHER A LAW ENFORCEMENT MEMORIAL TO SUPPORT OUR POLICE DEPARTMENT.

TRUSTEE CHAD SELLIER – WE HAVE 24/7 COVERAGE FOR OUR RESIDENTS. SOME OTHER COMMUNITIES HAVE MOVED AWAY FROM THAT. OUR AMBULANCE CORP IS ALWAYS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS AS WELL.

RESIDENT ROBIN DUNLOP – I JUST WANTED TO SAY THE FIRE DEPARTMENT RESPONDED TO A FIRE ON OLD DUTCH HOLLOW ROAD AND THE FIRE HYDRANT ON MOUNTAIN LAKES ROAD WASN’T WORKING.   THEY HAD TO FIND ANOTHER HYDRANT.

MAYOR DWYER – WE WEREN’T NOTIFIED OF THAT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT USUALLY LETS US KNOW. EVERY SINGLE ONE WAS WORKING BEFORE THE WINTER. I WILL COORDINATE WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT BECAUSE THAT SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN.

ROBIN DUNLOP – I THOUGHT MAYBE WITH THAT WATER LEAK THAT WAS OUT THERE….

MAYOR DWYER – NO, THAT WAS FIXED AND HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH A FIRE HYDRANT.

RESIDENT ELIZABETH DICHARRA – THAT PROGRAM FOR THE HOMELESS YOU WERE TALKING ABOUT THAT’S CALLED HONOR?

MAYOR DWYER – YES. WE WILL HAVE A FLYER DONE THIS WEEK AND WE WILL DO A MAJOR PROMOTION.

RESIDENT ELIZABETH DICHARRA – THERE IS A HOMELESS MAN THAT LIVES BACK IN THE WOODS BY ME FOR A WHILE NOW.   ITS ACTUALLY THE TOWN OF WARWICK.

MAYOR DWYER RESPONDED YOU SHOULD CALL THE WARWICK POLICE AND TELL THEM ALL OF YOUR CONCERNS. CONTACT THE BUILDING INSPECTOR AS WELL.
