The purpose of this chapter is to authorize designated public servants
of the Village of Greenwood Lake to issue and serve appearance tickets in
connection with the violations of state statutes, local laws or local rules and
regulations of the Village of Greenwood Lake and to issue such other papers and
pleadings as may be necessary to prosecute such violations in court, administrative
and any other proceedings.
§ 3-2. Persons authorized to issue and
serve tickets.
The following public servants of the Village of Greenwood Lake are
hereby designated and authorized to issue and serve appearance tickets with
respect to violations of state statutes, local laws and local rules or
regulations of the village that such designated public servants are
respectively required or authorized to enforce:

An appearance ticket may be served personally or as may be otherwise
provided for in the Code of the Village of Greenwood Lake, New York.
A copy of the appearance ticket, accompanied by an affidavit of service,
shall be delivered to the Clerk for the Village Justice prior to the appearance
date.
§ 3-5. Construal of provisions.
Nothing contained in this chapter shall be deemed or construed to
preempt the issuance or service of appearance tickets by another person
authorized to so issue and serve.
